Engage is an Enfield churches initiative to work with secondary schools in the London Borough of Enfield, both to support Christian students and resource RE teachers. All our services are offered free of charge.
TEAM CO-ORDINATOR: ANDIE FROST
Andie trained with Oasis College, graduating in 1995 with a Cambridge Diploma in Religious Studies and then an MA in Youth Ministry in 2013. He gained a wide experience in youth and schools work with The n:flame Trust from 1999 to 2017. During that time he led a team of volunteers who worked in numerous schools across the boroughs of Barnet, Camden, Enfield, Hackney and Haringey taking RE lessons, leading Christian Clubs and creating a variety of presentations and drama workshops. He then taught in a four-form entry all through school in Lebanon for five years, returning to the UK in 2022.
Engage Team
Engage take up references and run DBS checks for all our team members. We run safeguarding training for all volunteers and provide regular training throughout the year. The growing team is drawn from churches across the London borough of Enfield. Engage is supported by churches from different streams and denominations including: Chase Family Church, Enfield Baptist Church, Enfield Vineyard, GCM Community, Jubilee Church, New Life Church Palmers Green, New River Church Edmonton, Restore Community Church Albany and Winchmore Hill, Revival Christian Church and The Kings House.
Get Involved
The Church cares deeply about young people as they grow up in these times and that they should be fully equipped and informed as they develop, mature and make choices. We believe the message of the gospel is relevant for everyone, including teenagers, and that among the many voices around them they deserve to have the opportunity to hear first-hand what it means to follow Jesus. Engage seeks to do this in relevant and creative ways and so our church continues to support the team wholeheartedly, through prayer, volunteering and finance and we would encourage other churches to build this resource over the coming years.
